WV American Water’s (WVAW) existing Webster Springs Treatment Plant had come to end of its useful life and WVAW decided to supply water to that system from their existing Weston treatment plant. Ghosh Engineers worked with other consultants and contractors in order to connect to the existing distribution system in Walkersville, WV and install new lines, tanks, and booster stations through Lewis and Webster Counties to connect to the existing Webster distribution system. A hydraulic analysis was performed of the new connection to ensure it will work. The existing Webster distribution system will need to have the flow direction reversed. Design and construction phase services of the entire project are approximately 70% complete and Ghosh Engineers has provided all construction administration services.
